Mr. Steve Goceljak – Executive Director
Steve Goceljak joined CISK in May, 2006 as Executive Director. Prior to joining CISK Steve served as Director of Business Affairs for Donnelly College. He was responsible for the overall management of the fiscal operations and payroll operations of the college. Steve currently serves on the board of directors of Shepherds Center, located in Kansas City, Kansas. Steve holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Ms. Verona Hughes - Assistant Director
Verona Hughes joined CISK in December, 2005 as Assistant Director. Her career has centered on education beginning in public schools in Lawrence, Kansas; Madison, Wisconsin; and Kansas City, Kansas, where she was a Speech Pathologist and Learning Disabilities teacher. After leaving the public schools she worked with Juniper Gardens Children’s Project in Kansas City, Kansas for ten years as a researcher, trainer, and program developer. Prior to joining CISK, she spent 17 years in various positions, including Director of Program Operations at KCMC Child Development Corporation and grantee for a three county Head Start Program. Verona holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Kansas.

Ms. Dola Williams - Program Coordinator
Dola Williams joined CISK in August, 2004 as Administrative Assistant which led to the current position of Program Coordinator. Her career has been centered around small businesses and non profit agencies. She is a former student of the KCK Public Schools and a life long resident of Wyandotte County, and she serves on the Wyandotte Community Coalition Foundation. Dola holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Friends University.

Mr. John Knight - Community Schools Coordinator
John Knight joined CISK in August, 2007 as a Community School Coordinator. Prior to joining CISK he worked for The Leukemia Lymphoma Society and The Kansas City, Kansas Public School District #500. John holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Spanish.

Ms. Trellia Jackson-Grissom – VISTA Worker
Trellia Jackson-Grissom joined CISK in February, 2008 as an Americorps VISTA Volunteer. Her tour as a VISTA has previously included teaching Tenant/Landlord rights and responsibilities to HUD residents throughout the state of Kansas.

Ms. LaVita Ross – Office Manager
LaVita Ross joined CISK in February, 2008 as Office Manager. Prior to joining CISK she was a Clerical Substitute for the Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education.
