The workshop will focus on the Health in All Policies approach, key competencies for HiAP, and how HiAP can contribute to addressing and solving complex multisectoral problems with a focus on air pollution. Scenarios and case studies from the USA and around the world will allow participants to explore and examine HiAP in-depth. The workshop will take place 18-20 June 2018 in Washington DC. A new Global Network for Health in All Policies (GNHiAP) is an initiative launched by five governments - Sudan, Finland, Thailand, State of South Australia and the Province of Quebec. They will work jointly to strengthen and institutionalize the HiAP approach and facilitate its implementation. The Network will help countries to achieve health-related Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets and move towards Universal Health Coverage. A launch event hosted by Sudan, Thailand and Finland took place on 24 May 2017 at The Graduate Institute Geneva, Switzerland.For the GNHiAP mission statement click here .
The South Australian government jointly with WHO organized the International Health in All Policies Conference - Progressing the Sustainable Development Goals, in Adelaide on 30-31 March 2017. A key outcome was the statement "Health in All Policies: Governance, Partnerships and the Sustainable Development Agenda, Adelaide Statement II on Health in All Policies 2017."
