LiveWell Tobacco-Free Living Work Group Formation
LiveWell Lawrence, a coalition of more than 100 community champions is forming a new work group to address tobacco use prevention and cessation in Douglas County. We would encourage and appreciate participation in the LiveWell Tobacco-Free Living Work Group by a diverse group of those passionate about reducing the harms of tobacco use in Douglas County.
 
The work group will meet at least bi-monthly (6 times per year). The focus of the work group will include 1) preventing the initiation of tobacco use among youth and young adults, 2) helping tobacco users of all ages to quit and 3) reducing exposure to secondhand smoke.
 
All workgroup members are expected to fulfill the following basic responsibilities.

  1. Attend a minimum of fifty percent of the workgroup meetings.
  2. Actively promote the workgroup and LiveWell initiatives within their organizations and the community.
